School of Rock Port Jefferson
Policies & Procedures
  • Cancellation Policy: We require 30 days advance written notice to end your program. This is to protect our staff from unexpected loss of hours. Notice must be given by the first of the month to ensure no further bills will be charged. If we receive notice later in the month, for example on May 15th, your program will end on June 15th, and your final bill will be a prorated amount based on how many lessons you receive in that period.
  • Make-Up Eligibility: We require 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel and reschedule a lesson. Any lessons cancelled within 24 hours are not eligible for a makeup lesson. Makeup lessons must be redeemed within 90 days of cancellation. Makeup lessons have no monetary value and cannot be stored in lie of a monthly payment and all make-up lessons must be scheduled while your account is active.
  • Substitute Teachers: We are proud to employ professional, active musicians as our instructors. Occasionally, these instructors may be unavailable due to performances, vacations, illness, or other commitments. When an instructor is unable to attend a lesson, we will arrange for a qualified substitute to ensure continuity in education. Please note that we do not provide advance notification when a substitute teacher will be covering a lesson. If you decide not to take a lesson with the sub provided, you will NOT receive a makeup lesson and will forfeit that week's lesson without refund.
  • Holiday Schedule: School of Rock is closed for the following holidays; New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years Eve. When closed for national holidays, we do not offer make-up lessons unless otherwise noted. Tuition is billed monthly and is based off of 4 lessons per week. There are typically 4 months out of the year where students receive a 5th week of lessons at no additional charge, which balances out any missed holidays.
  • Enrollment Fee: A one-time, life-time registration fee is billed at the time of sign up. This will include all enrollment material such as a T-Shirt, Backpack, Method Book, School of Rock Method App Access and a Key Fob.
  • Show Production Fee: With the participation of each Performance Program show, there is a registration fee of $125.00. The payment is due approximately one month before the shows perform. Show registration fees help us cover the venue costs, sound & lighting technician fees, staff on hand, programs, tickets & as always you receive UNLIMITED TICKETS to all performances! *Rock 101, Rookies and Little Wing do not have a production fee*
  • Tuition: Tuition is due on the 1st of the month. We require a Credit Card on file, however, you may pay using Credit, Debit, Cash or Check. You may opt in for automatic payments, where we will automatically charge your card on file. If you wish to do manual payments, there is a 5 day grace period to bring in payment. After the 5th day, we will charge the card on file.
